CTR is clicks divided by impressions. An ad shown 1,000 times with 30 clicks has a CTR of 3%.
What it says about an ad
A low CTR means the copy or image did not catch attention, or the ad reaches the wrong people. In search, CTR depends on the page title and description Google shows in the results.
Keep in mind
A high CTR without orders is an expensive mistake. The ad may promise more than the page behind it delivers. That is why we always read CTR together with conversion rate.
